Job Summary

Located in Salmon Arm, we are receiving applications for a motivated and diligent warehouse worker / driver.

This is primarily a warehouse position

with the additional need to act as back up delivery driver.

This is a full time position Monday to Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Occasional overtime will be required.

Responsibilities

:

Warehouse:

General warehouse duties including but not limited to:

Accurately picking and packing customer orders Processing orders on hand held scanner Loading / unloading trucks Receiving and putting away stock Operation of a forklift, Raymond side loader and Combilift. Operation of overhead cranes Operation of a band saw Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse Misc. tasks that may arise during the course of business.

Driving:

Safe operation of a 1-Ton "dually" flat deck with pull behind 20' flat deck trailer as well as a 7.5 ton, 24' flat deck truck. Perform daily vehicle inspections; correct/report any deficiencies. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles. Delivering to our customers throughout the Thompson / Okanagan Ensuring paperwork is completed and signed off according to procedures

Qualifications:

A strong work ethic and positive outlook are required. Team player with excellent communication and customer service skills Valid BC class 5 license with a minimum of 10 years accident free driving. Must be comfortable backing up a trailer. Related experience is preferred Preference will be given to candidates with forklift / overhead crane certification Attention to detail Basic math including being comfortable working with fractions and decimals. Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer, calipers) Physically fit; able to lift up to 70 lbs. High School education
