We are looking for a motivated and experienced

Warehouse Technician

to join our Equipment Division in Saskatoon, SK. We are ideally looking for a candidate based in SK and living in proximity to our shop.


Position Summary:




The

Warehouse Technician

is responsible for supporting warehouse operations by performing tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing materials and equipment. This role ensures the accurate and timely fulfillment of requests and maintains a safe and organized warehouse environment. The Warehouse Technician plays a crucial role in optimizing warehouse processes and contributing to overall efficiency and client satisfaction.


Responsibilities:




The Warehouse Technician role responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment. Prepare material & equipment for safe transportation. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts. Ensure proper storage and handling of materials based on storage requirements in accordance with the Material Care Custody and Control Standard. Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse operations. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and yard environment, including but not limited to, snow removal, cutting grass & general maintenance of building such as replacing lights. Conduct regular safety checks and participate in safety training sessions. Responsible for safe operating of equipment required in daily tasks of offloading, loading and stocking of material & equipment. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication. Perform other related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements:




Minimum 1+ years working in a warehouse environment, preferable in mining industry. Training in warehouse operations or supply chain management is an asset. High School Diploma or GED Knowledge of standard warehouse processes and procedures associated to picking, issuing, packaging, shipping, receiving, and put-away activities. Knowledge of processes and procedures associated to inventory cycle counting and audit procedures. Knowledge of safe operating procedures of material handling equipment, hand tools & powered hand tools. Knowledge of ERP systems for effective management of warehouse activities. Beginner to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft suite of products Strong comprehension and ability to read and understand information provided on waybills, packing slips and purchase orders. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Previous experience operating equipment such as as forklift, telehandler, front end loader and flat deck truck in warehouse and warehouse yard environments. Class 5 Drivers Licence Skilled in identifying and implementing process improvements. Willing and able to travel to project sites as needed. Bilingual (English and French) considered an asset. Ability to lift and physically handle material up to 50lbs. Candidates identifying as Indigenous are encouraged to apply. For this position, you will be required to undergo a background check.
