We are looking for a Warehouse Technician to help us expand our presence across the Warehousing Operations, who will help drive internal project performance, and support to our customers.

PTAG is currently seeking a Warehouse Technician to join our team and who will contribute to the success of PTAG by playing a critical role in the warehousing operations and distribution portion of our business. The Warehouse Technician will be required to ensure the accuracy of their orders that they are picking, as well as ensure they are performing all job tasks efficiently and effectively.

Objectives of this Role

The successful candidate will be willing to work in a controlled Warehouse environment, be a part of a physical work setting dealing with lifting manually, with pallet jacks and forklifts. The candidate requires competency in automated/computerized warehouse management systems in modern materials handling/inventory and warehousing operations, generally gained through a minimum of two years related work experience. Strong communication, interpersonal and computer skills are essential. You will also have the ability, to work effectively as a team member and with minimal supervision.

Type of Employment: Contract

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to the Warehouse Manager for all duties and daily priorities.
  • Execute receiving process for all incoming materials including, ensuring to match purchase order, and packing slips, unpacking boxes, counting materials in boxes to ensure count accuracy and receive in Warehouse Management System
  • Compile reports for damaged materials when required and work closely with the Procurement team to ensure damaged parts are replaced/returned
  • Stock received materials, strictly following established procedures in an organized, efficient, and safe manner to enable effective and safe material picking
  • Pick, pack, and issue materials in timely manner in line with maintenance and operational requirements
  • Perform inventory counting in accordance with company inventory counting and audit procedures
  • Identify and catalogue parts and assemblies for a wide range of equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines/priorities
  • Ensure attention to detail and keen sense of safeguarding company/client property and information
  • Practice good housekeeping always to ensure a safe and clean worksite
  • Safely operate various warehouse equipment including, loaders, forklifts, pickup trucks and five (5) ton flat deck trucks
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Provide support to the logistics team with regards to loading and unloading of trucks as required
  • Always protect the safety and well-being of yourself and your co-workers. Follow all Company specific safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Technical Diploma or Degree considered an asset
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Previous experience with loaders, pickers, forklifts, pickup trucks and five (5) ton flat deck trucks preferred
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team to achieve best-in-class efficiency and productivity
  • Strong computer literacy with willingness to learn new computer skills
  • Class 5 driver's license is required
  • Knowledge of WHIMIS, which includes familiarity with chemical products, use, disposal, and Safety Data Sheets applications
  • First Aid certification an asset
  • Working at Heights certification an asset
  • Workplace Safety certification an asset
  • Proficiency with using hand and power tools; and
  • Experience in constructing and preparing packaging solutions for a multitude of goods with various sizes, shapes, and weights to meet safe shipping standards.
