Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, All Weather Windows Ltd. (AWW) is a dynamic leader in the window and door industry in Canada. Operations include two manufacturing plants located in Edmonton and Customer Solution Centres located in Langley, Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Technician I to join our Calgary team. This individual is responsible for materials handling and inventory control. The materials handling function includes activities such as storage, order picking, issuing, shipping, receiving, stocking shelves, sorting, salvage, and product returns.

Inventory control includes being involved in the work and administration processes relating to the matters of space utilization, handling of inventory transactions, keeping track of items stored in the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy is maximized through monitoring, analysis and investigation of discrepancies and participation in annual and cycle counts of physical inventory.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

• Ensures compliance with Company health and safety practices
• Identifying health and safety risks related to materials handling activities and mitigating risk to eliminate hazards associated with warehouse operations.
• Put-away and picking of inventoried material required to full fill customer orders.
• Organizing product within the warehouse.
• Participating in the wall-to-wall and cycle physical inventory counts, as required.
• Performing general housekeeping and organization of the warehouse and shipping/receiving docks.
• Maintaining building walkways to ensure they can be safety used (e.g. shoveling snow and apply ice melt).
• Receiving materials and products from suppliers, product returns and transfers from other AWW locations.
• Unloading materials from trailers.
• Trouble shooting in the event of incorrect shipments and damage products, which includes, but is not limited to, gathering details related to the shipment

Primary Qualifications Required:

• Visual-spatial awareness is required.
• Ability to follow safe job procedures, safe work practices, standard operating procedures, and standard work instructions is required.
• English communication skills, the basic comprehension of English, and the ability to understand and follow instructions is required.
• Ability to be aware of surroundings and ensuring safety of self, others, equipment and products
