Job Description

Role: The Warehouse Technician, Driver (Class 5/G) which has a dual role involving warehouse management, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) production, and making local deliveries by driving a cube van. Responsibilities include handling all products in the warehouse by receiving, storing, assembling orders, inventory control, shipping, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The role also involves computer and ERP software use for proper documentation of inventory, orders, and customer data. Overall, the role demands versatility, combining physical warehouse work with day-trip deliveries, prioritizing safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

Warehouse and Documentation:

Physically receive, unload, inspect, put away industrial supplies and record the information in the computerized inventory system. Prepare orders and shipments by packaging products for delivery, while organizing shipping documents. Complete regular inventory counts. Safely utilize warehouse equipment such as Forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders etc. to facilitate order fulfillment. General maintenance of the warehouse and equipment for safety and functionality.

Product Delivery:

Deliver industrial supplies and bulk fluids. Drive a transit van to various customer locations to do local deliveries. Utilize technology (Sonim mobile phone) for precise documentation of customer services rendered, ensuring accurate data capture and billing. Maintaining an accurate daily logbook using an Electronic Logging device (Motive), complete pre-trip and post-trip inspection check and report any concerns. Offload the orders using the truck tailgate, pallet jacks, forklifts, and hand trucks. Complete and submit TDG documents, Bills of Lading, delivery tickets and trip summaries to the Dispatcher and Operations Supervisor. Maintain a thorough understanding of and strictly adhere to the Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations. Respond effectively to emergency situations, including breakdowns, accidents, spills, or adverse weather conditions. Troubleshoot mechanical problems with the support of the Maintenance team.

Preparation of DEF product:

Adhere to all work instructions, safety protocols, formulas to produce DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid). Measure, combine, and mix ingredients to for DEF production. Transfer DEF product from manufacturing plant into bulk delivery truck, or other containment methods.

IDEAL CANDIDATE



Location

: Must live in Montreal, Quebec, or other nearby areas.

Typical schedule

: Monday- Friday, 40 hours per week (may require overtime based upon company requirements). 8-12 hours per day. Work schedule may require team member to take early morning, evening, or late-night shifts, on-call during weekends or for emergencies. Weekend or holiday work may also be necessary.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

License and Certificatio

n: Valid Class 5 or G driver's license and clean drivers abstract required.

Physical Requirements

: Able to perform tasks associated with loading and offloading of products from 20 to 50 lbs, including lifting, and pulling of boxes, drums, barrels, and hoses for bulk products. The job also demands stamina for long hours of driving.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience working in an industrial or warehouse setting.

Technology:

User experience with Microsoft 365 applications, Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) platform, and the use of a smart phone to conduct basic administrative tasks.

Additional Skills:

Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations. Clear, concise, and professional communicator, both verbal and written in French and English. Working proficiency in basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication). Mechanically inclined to detect basic malfunctions on truck being operated. Safety, service, and savings mindset.
