Warehouse Technician
Where will you work: Belle Plaine, Saskatchewan.
Performs all warehousing functions associated with inbound/outbound stock, direct charge order for Maintenance Repair and Operation (MRO) and Capital Materials. Functions should be performed to ensure transactional accuracy, SOX compliance, quality, and accuracy of procured goods and to safeguard parts to ensure reliability in use. Position requires specific knowledge of hazardous materials, rigging/proper lifting techniques, material handling and stored energy in loads. All activities will be performed to ensure full compliance with internal controls requirements including all requirements for key controls.
What you'll do?• Responsible for daily warehouse functions to include the following: receiving, issuing, stocking, kitting and staging. Additionally responsible for inventory activities such as inventory cycle counts and restock site vending machines as required. Use of mobile devices during these activities will be required.
• Loading and offloading vendor, contractor and LTL freight trucks. Offloading will include chemical reagents, fuels, fabrications and other materials that may include rigging.
• Use of forklift unit within a warehouse environment and mine field truck / deliveries.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to include reporting and pursing cost saving opportunities and recommending/implementing process improvements. Provide customer service and operations support.
• Maintains overall responsibility for the effectiveness of all EHS efforts
• Provides overall direction on targets and objectives for the site, including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Responsible for communicating on the status of compliance
• Responsible for ensuring adequate training of area personnel
• Responsible for conducting audits and ensuring completion of safety audits, lockout audits,
• housekeeping tours housekeeping tours in accordance with Safety Performance Indicators and Environmental Index
• Responsible for ensuring employees and contractor groups under his/her control are made aware of pertinent health, safety, and environmental hazards and aspects
• Ensures appropriate follow up on issues that arise out of the audits and inspections
• Responsible for conducting audits and inspections
• Reviews and authorizes work permits
• Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect their fellow workers Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of the employees
• Practice and abide by all safety procedures and job plans. Additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need:• High School Degree required.
• Previous 3 to 5 experiences in a warehouse
• Forklift Driver's License - preferred
• Having Red Seal Journeyperson Ticket can be advantageous but not required.
