We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor/Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with warehouse management systems. This role involves managing heavy equipment operation, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, and maintaining safety standards across the facility. The Warehouse Manager will play a key role in optimizing workflow, supervising staff, and ensuring timely delivery of products.
Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, order picking, packaging, and loading/unloading of goods
Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery in compliance with safety protocols
Manage warehouse distribution processes to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely deliveries
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory tracking, order processing, and reporting
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to maintain safety standards
Lead and train warehouse staff on proper operation of equipment like forklifts and order pickers, emphasizing heavy lifting safety
Oversee maintenance projects within the warehouse as needed
Coordinate with manufacturing teams for seamless production flow and inventory control
Ensure compliance with shipping & receiving procedures and documentation requirements
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in warehouse operations
Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles within a distribution or manufacturing environment
Extensive knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, including order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and inventory control
Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, and heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
Excellent leadership abilities with experience training staff on equipment operation and safety protocols
Construction or building maintenance experience is a plus
Valid certifications for forklift operation or crane operation are preferred but not required
