Who are we searching for?
We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our busy and growing team!
Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient and timely fulfilment of customer's requirements related to warehousing, shipping, receiving, and production, while ensuring that job functions are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the building, equipment and grounds.
Job Duties: (include but not limited to):
Supervise warehouse workforce, reporting to site manager
Monitor daily workload to ensure staff remain productive and efficient
Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to employees
Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding and training new employees
Maintain up-to-date training records for warehouse employees Complete shipping and receiving activities
Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed in a timely manner
Coordinate with carriers and manage the dock schedule
Submit reporting as required/assigned by management
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment for all employees
Report any and all equipment damages, malfunctions or safety hazards
Ensure that when tasks are assigned they are completed and done correctly
Keep detailed and accurate records of all areas of maintenance
Identify and request necessary supplies and equipment
Collaborate with management on the development and implementation of work instructions, SOP's and continuous improvement
Ensure that all equipment is kept in a safe and operattional condition
Verify inventory accuracy through random audits and cycle counts'
Enforce FIFO inventory practices
Be available to respond to building emergencies when necessary
Perform other related duties as required or assigned
Required Knowledge/Experience
Previous leadership experience in a warehouse, logistics, or operations environment, including performance management and staff development.
Minimum 3 years forklift experience
Basic mechanical skills considered an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with Management, Customer Service, Drivers and Warehouse teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, WMS and RF scanning equipment.
Strong understanding of safe work practices, ability to recognize hazards and work towards solutions
Ability to work in a team environment that is constantly working towards improving its processes and procedures
Demonstrate good organizational skills & reliability
Working Conditions
Exposure to a variety of indoor and outdoor weather conditions
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Manual dexterity to work on various projects
Regular interaction with management and co-workers
Overtime as required
Must have a valid driver's license
