As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be a key part of our Operations team, overseeing shipping, receiving, and warehousing of finished goods for Emerson Tool Company, ProTeam, Branson, and Emerson Corporate Canada (as required).


AS A WAREHOUSE PERSON, YOU WILL:



Perform all the daily receiving, order picking and shipping for the ProTeam and Branson Business Units. Supervise the daily work of warehouse personnel: training, assigning work, develop performance standards, counsel and discipline. Schedule overtime and vacation, as required, to accommodate workload. Provide backup support to the shipping office as required (Absences / Vacation) Responsible for all safety in the Warehouse area. Must ensure safety policies & procedures are followed and that equipment is properly maintained (e.g., lift trucks, etc.). Responsible for warehouse design and layout; ensure security of inventory and equipment. Liaises with traffic department to acquire current information on shipping rate charges. Select best and most economical method of shipment, where applicable. Arrange for and supervise annual physical inventories. Ensure that appropriate housekeeping measures are applied to all areas of the warehouse. Participate in JH&S meetings and implement suggestions affecting Shipping/Warehouse as necessary. Participate in monthly Workplace inspections. Monitor maintenance problems affecting the warehouse building, scrutinizing warehouse areas and docks. Work with the Emerson Tool Company General Manager, Building Landlord and maintenance vendors as required. Support the shipping/receiving/warehousing activities as necessary, to eliminate backlog. Other duties as assigned.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:



High school Diploma graduate with good communication skills. Strong computer skills and experience with an Enterprise / Warehouse Management System / RF Scanners Must have ability to drive

forklift truck

and at least two years specialized training and experience in

shipping

and

warehousing

. Required to lift heavy weights (up to 70 pounds, may move more weight with assistance). Continuously standing or walking.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:



Previous

supervisory

Experience/Training is a PLUS First Aid Certificate (company will provide training) Occasionally under pressure due to time constraints and volume of work at month end.
