• A forklift licence and at least 2 years of operating experience.
• Strong computer skills.
• Tolerance for working in a cold environment, up to -20 C.
• Previous experience in an automated warehouse environment is a definite plus
• A valid drivers licence, and the ability to travel to the United States for training.

Some of what this position entails:

• Ensuring contractual customer KPIs are met for both service and quality
• Assisting to control costs in-line with budgeted expectations
• Always maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
• Working with other Supervisors to ensure all equipment is functional and in good repair
• Aligning with the Operations Manager and fellow Shift Supervisors & Leads to ensure the shift is focussed on achieving high levels of customer service and productivity.
• Monitoring and reacting to KPI results and implementing improvements where required
• Introducing and maintaining a focus on health, safety and quality in all aspects of warehouse activity
• Managing the team in line with company policy and ensuring agreed standards are met.
• Planning labour efficiently to achieve expected customer service standards, always remaining within budget.
• Conduct daily shift briefs and handovers, as well as monthly meetings
• React promptly to changes in situations, volumes, or requirements to minimise disruption and cost
• Communicate any deviation from processes, quality, and service, or any risk of failure in these areas, with internal team and external teams
• Support the warehouse team in all associated tasks including loading, unloading, case picking etc.
• Control and manage shifts including holiday planning, absence management, performance management
• Communication with external suppliers as necessary
• Supporting maintenance, planners and customer services to help with the smooth operation of the site
• Continually look to opportunities for improvement
