Continental Store Fixture Group Inc. is a Canadian leader in the retail store fixture industry with the head office located in Surrey, British Columbia. The company has been around for over 50 years and is well established in the industry.
We service a variety of retail businesses, from those looking to renovate their small store, to companies opening a chain of stores. At Continental, we can provide everything a small to mid-size retail company requires when it comes to outfitting the store with shelving and mill work.
Currently, we are looking at adding a Receiving Supervisor to our growing team. This position will report directly to our Operations Manager. This is a hands-on role that will oversee all aspects of receiving shipments and orders, organizing our various warehouses, and manage our internal warehouse transfers. The successful applicant will have to be highly organized, excel at communication, and have a proven record of supervising and leading a team.
Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising, leading, and training our receiving department staff.
Manage all receiving operations, including unloading, sorting, and putting away deliveries. This ranges from small FedEx deliveries, to multi-40' container deliveries.
Ensure that all incoming shipments are accurately and promptly processed.
Monitor the accuracy of all receiving records.
Assisting team where ever you are needed. This is a
hands-on role
where you will be working on the floor, unloading containers, putting away stock, organizing the warehouse, etc.
Managing warehouse transfers to ensure the right stock is transferred and received to and from the appropriate warehouses.
Working with the operations team to help with daily and weekly schedules of the receiving department.
Work with Operations Manager in suggesting process changes to help improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Implement strategies to optimize processes.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate operations across the company.
Identify and resolve receiving and inventory discrepancies.
Requirements and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Relevant experience in receiving, inventory management, and general warehouse operations
Experience leading and supervising staff
Knowledge of warehouse procedures and equipment
Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
