Position Summary:

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving, inspecting and recording incoming shipments of products in the warehouse. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that the inventory is well-maintained and that all items received meet quality and quantity standards.

Duties:

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of products
- Verify the accuracy of orders by comparing them to purchase orders or invoices
- Unload, unpack, and properly store items in designated warehouse locations
- Update inventory records and maintain accurate stock levels
- Prepare and package items for shipment or delivery
- Operate forklift or other equipment to move and stack materials as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software
- Familiarity with order picking processes and procedures
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying orders
- Basic math skills for inventory management and order tracking
- Knowledge of Prophet 21 or similar inventory management systems is a plus
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and external vendors

Please note that this position may require physical exertion, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and may involve exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 per hour
