Warehouse Receiver (mid Day Shift)

Job Description

10:00am - 7:00pm Shift




DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES




Accurately & efficiently receive and put away inbound material Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment Operate, navigate and drive all company forklifts Maintain a visual inbound freight schedule Co-ordinate the off-loading of inbound freight Read work orders or receive oral instructions for work assignments Continually update company software of any bin or overflow location changes Maintain a clean and organized workspace through the entire warehouse Provide on the job training to new/junior receiving team members as required Assist staff members in the research and locating of product in the warehouse Provide information for the completion of incident reports in relation to health and safety issues Ensure efficient space utilization in stocking goods Provide extra care in handling fragile china/porcelain products Other duties as assigned



SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES




Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written and an ability to impart knowledge. Good organization skills Attention to detail. Experience using computer systems. Accuracy in picking and shipping orders Organized team player with a strong aptitude to performing tasks accurately Punctual, efficient and professional Be able to work in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to work under time constraints and deadlines Able to lift at least 50 pounds Solid basic computer skills



EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION




High school diploma or equivalent

required

Valid Forklift ticket Previous warehouse experience will be considered an

asset

Experience in a fast-paced environment an

asset

Previous plumbing and/or electrical industry experience will be considered an

asset
