DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operative shall be working in our Distribution Centre Canada in Milton and will responsible to receive and verify products against paperwork for quality and quantity, following proper procedures.
We are looking for someone who is able to work independently with little supervision while maintaining excellent communication skills with all associates and is an excellent team player.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Inbound
Receive products and verify that incoming paperwork reflect the Quality packaging that Phoenix Contact requires from its suppliers and verify quantity to receive.
Maintain proper procedures as stated in Receiving documentation
Verify that the product is of the quality required by Phoenix Contact
Maintain proper procedures for inbounds and designate location as per inbound receiving instructions and assigned locations
Ensure all stock is always put away correctly ex: F.I.F.O./Consolidated / Tagged
Investigate any inventory discrepancies and report to Warehouse Supervisor to make the correct adjustment in Baan
Immediately process damaged product according to QA guidelines: ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed according to procedure.
Report to Warehouse Supervisor unacceptable Quality; product must be in perfect condition before putting into a location.
Maintain inventory accuracy in all areas of the warehouse during all inventory movement transactions.
Review, analyse, and understand inventory movement documents.
Take corrective actions and process corrections to maintain a high-quality inventory accuracy in every slot and/or stock area of the warehouse.
Assist with the consolidation of Product in their assigned locations
Assist with the training program for new associates to follow documented procedures. (Train the Trainer)
Complete a floor audit at the end of the shift to check for unmarked product and report or resolve the inventory issue.
Utilize proper tools within a safe fashion to receive and unload trucks.
Outbound Picking
Pick materials for customer orders in accordance to the assigned priorities identified by the pick lists provided.
Meet and aim to exceed the Quality and accuracy requirements for the packaging specification of each customer by ad hearing to all special text.
Maintain proper procedures are followed when packing Phoenix Contact products.
Ensure outbound shipments are released as per pick list and related instructions. Any discrepancies are to be investigated and corrected before the items are packed for shipping.
Complete all paperwork legibly.
Ensure all transportation company drivers adhere to Phoenix Contact safety and security guidelines.
Any other duties or functions as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Previous warehouse experience if any
High School Diploma
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Flexible working hours (if required) to help or transfer to other shifts.
Must have a high record of quality when performing activities.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Detail oriented, efficient, and well organized
Basic computer skills
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to drive or be trained to drive a reach truck
