We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Clerk to join our team to help receive/ship products from our location in Laval. The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
What the Warehouse Clerk will do:
Prepare and package outgoing shipments along with ensuring items are properly labeled and packaged for safe transport
Receive and inspect incoming shipments including verifying damage and accuracy of shipping contents against shipping documents (quality, quality, etc)
Contact supplier if a mistake is identified
Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place including returns
Perform inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed
Maintain and organize the warehouse for a clean and safe environment
Occasional building maintenance
Run quote requests and organize transport
Communicate with customers/clients via email or phone
Implement and optimize efficient warehousing procedures to streamline operations and improve productivity
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow in the warehouse
Operate the SAP system to track inventory and update shipment status
Move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds across the office for various needs
Prepare and submit appropriate shipping documents such as commercial invoices
Some occasional building maintenance
What you will need:
2-4 years of experience as a Warehouse Clerk or similar role is required
Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
Able to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery is required
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Understanding of basic math calculations for shipments
Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
Bilingual is a must (proficiency in French and English)
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and suppliers
