Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient distribution processes, and maintain a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive warehouse experience, and proficiency with heavy equipment and warehouse management systems. This role requires managing shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, and coordinating the operation of various machinery to support manufacturing and distribution activities.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, order picking, packaging, and inventory management Operate and oversee heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery ensuring safety protocols are followed Manage warehouse distribution processes to optimize workflow and ensure timely order fulfillment Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Oversee the operation of order pickers and other mechanical equipment for efficient order fulfillment Ensure proper loading & unloading of goods while adhering to safety standards Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards Lead a team of warehouse staff, providing training on equipment operation, safety procedures, and best practices in manufacturing environments Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to coordinate logistics and ensure compliance with shipping schedules Implement safety protocols related to heavy lifting, construction activities, and heavy equipment operation

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse management with strong knowledge of warehouse distribution and logistics operations Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of warehouse machinery Experience with warehouse management systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Skilled in order picking, packaging, load & unload procedures for shipping & receiving Familiarity with manufacturing processes and construction-related activities within a warehouse setting Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and promote a safety-first culture Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including crane operation if applicable Experience in inventory control, order fulfillment, and using warehouse systems for accurate record keeping

Pay: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
