Job Overview
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be at the forefront of our logistics operations, driving efficiency and excellence in warehouse management. Your leadership will ensure that our inventory flows smoothly from receiving to shipping, while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. You'll harness your expertise in supply chain management to optimize processes and contribute to the overall success to our Edmonton location.
Core Job Responsibilities:
Maintain an organized, safe, and productive work environment that motivates the team and ensures effective operations.
Set production goals, analyze statistics, and motivate the workforce through strong coordination, cooperation, and leadership.
Oversee the shipping process to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manage assembly/bill of material processes, ensuring proper assembly construction.
Efficiently store, rotate, and label incoming goods to maintain organization.
Plan warehouse layout and space to optimize workflow and storage.
Procure new equipment and participate in budget planning to ensure operational efficiency.
Conduct annual performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
Continuously evaluate warehouse operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement more efficient methods to enhance customer service.
Handle with functions including scheduling, hiring, disciplining, and mentoring staff.
Address inventory discrepancies efficiently, including performing stock checks and coordinating product write-offs.
Oversee general cleanliness and organization of work areas.
Coordinate the maintenance of building, machinery, and assembly equipment.
Foster a positive, safe, and respectful team environment that promotes collaboration and growth.
Required Competencies:
2-3 years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to motivate and lead teams to achieve objectives.
Problem-solving expertise, including staff planning, warehouse layout optimization, throughput design, and identifying stock discrepancies.
Physical ability to lift, move, and carry both light and heavy products.
Attention to detail and strong coordination skills, especially when using equipment or training others.
Proficiency in computer software, including Sage 300, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and other relevant tools.
Safe and proper handling of tools and machinery.
Excellent memory for identifying goods, part numbers, and their locations in the warehouse.
