Major Duties



  • You will act as a liaison between internal and external customers to ensure that the highest level of safety, accuracy and quality is achieved in all facets of the Warehouse, Shipping, Receiving, Kitting, and Material Handling.
  • The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible to ensure:
    • Supervision of 10+ employee across 2 shifts
    • Productivity levels are consistent with company\'s goals
    • Coach, mentor, train and support employees within in their respective functions and activities
    • Represent management\'s views and values
    • Lead/participate in continuous improvement of existing systems
    • Resolve daily problems, improve situations, plan and organize daily operations.


Specific Responsibilities



  • Achieve all Divisional and assigned Departmental kpi\xe2\x80\x99s.
  • Responsible for all material movement, shipping, receiving, inventory, controls and costs pertaining to the warehousing operations.
  • Assist in establishing operational procedures or activities such as the verification of incoming and departing shipments, the handling and disposition of materials, and maintenance of inventory in warehouse.
  • Inspect physical conditions of warehouse and equipment and arrange for repairs and replacements as required.
  • Work with various Managers to help coordinate production and issue materials from warehouse to project build locations.
  • Direct work assignments such as handling and storage of goods, filling, routing and shipping of customer orders and preparation of reports.
  • Process and expedite the reclamation of damaged, unused or used material and goods.
  • Advocate and foster a team environment both within the Department and throughout the Division(s).
  • Ensure effective management of Material Handlers to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.


Qualifications



Education
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or Materials Management OR

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving environment working in the capacity of team lead/supervisor

Additional Skills and/or Knowledge
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience (required)
  • Strong, Effective, Positive leadership and motivation skills (required)
  • Be mature, responsible, organized, and analytical and customer focused (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (required)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Experience with JD Edwards ERP software (preferred)
