Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lumper to join our warehouse team in Quebec. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading shipments, ensuring accurate order picking, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires familiarity with warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling to support seamless distribution processes. The Lumper will play a vital part in maintaining the flow of goods within our facility, contributing to overall warehouse productivity.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks using forklifts, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks while adhering to safety protocols Assist with order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts for materials handling and movement of goods Ensure proper stacking, storage, and organization of products in compliance with OSHA standards Support shipping & receiving activities by preparing shipments for dispatch and verifying incoming deliveries Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines and conducting routine inspections Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and inventory management Assist in construction or maintenance tasks as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment skills

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or order picking roles Familiarity with warehouse equipment including forklift, clamp truck, pallet jack, and crane operation Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and materials handling best practices Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control Strong physical ability for heavy lifting and load/unload tasks Warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership responsibilities Construction or materials handling background is advantageous Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
