Ashley HomeStore has a current opening for a full-time Warehouse Lead to work out of our Moncton, New Brunswick store. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Warehouse Lead will work in a hands-on capacity, to oversee the warehouse operations - ensuring optimal accuracy, efficiency, customer service, and safety. Responsibilities:
  • Providing leadership to a small warehouse/delivery team \xe2\x80\x93 creating a positive culture of team work, accuracy and superior customer service;
  • Planning, overseeing and implementing the operational logistics of the warehouse;
  • Ensuring processes and procedures are being followed; training and coaching team members as needed;
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of staffing at all times, work in conjunction with HR on hiring;
  • Ensuring the runs are picked for the next day \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring everything opened and assembled with hardware; assisting in this process as needed;
  • Checking runs to ensure service has completed all required touch ups;
  • Working within Storis to print customer pick up or labels;
  • Participating in cycle counts;
  • Closing sales in a timely manner;
  • Working with Store Manager to resolve issues that occur upon delivery;
  • Labelling product trailers and supporting unloading trailers;
  • Identifying and recommending areas of improvement/opportunity and relaying to Store Manager;
  • Aiding delivery team by acting as point of contact for advice on technique, procedure, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring warehouse compliance with all OHS legislation.
  • Filling in as needed for any warehouse role, removing any obstacles to delivery success.
  • Other warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications: Education & Experience:
  • 2+ years previous experience as a warehouse supervisor/lead
  • Previous experience in the furniture and/or delivery industry a strong asset;
  • Relevant post-secondary diploma or degree is an asset, but equivalent experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of inventory management a strong asset;
  • Proven leadership \xe2\x80\x93 ability to motivate and coach a team;
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving \xe2\x80\x93 able to come up with creative solutions to delivery obstacles.
  • Positive attitude \xe2\x80\x93 team oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively;

  • Valid drivers license is required.
