Job Description

Our Kingsville Distribution Centre, a 150,000 sq.ft. refrigerated facility operating 24/7 is currently seeking a

Warehouse Lead

to join our team.



The essential function of this position is to provide exceptional customer support through ensuring the accuracy of inventory movement and warehousing. Accuracy in shipping, receiving and inventory are paramount. Warehouse Lead oversees the safe shipping, storage, and timely transfer of goods. Ensures workplace health and safety and Food Safety requirements are

met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock. This individual will also fulfill supervisory

duties in the absence of upper management.


Shift:

Days 5-6 days a week


Primary Responsibilities:



Responsible for loading, counting and verifying NAV tag & quality of transfers to MPL2 Livonia. Ensure pallets are free of damage. Communicating with CIC on product needed for transfers. Communicating, with absolute accuracy, all information required to create valid and proper Customs

Documentation.

Ensuring schedule attainment. Escalating any product availability issues to Supervisor, managers or

commodity planners that may cause scheduled transfer departure to miss.

Complete understanding of MPL receiving process and adhere to all MPL protocols. Assists receiving in accurately and timely receiving of all inbound loads. Monitors status of incoming orders with receiving management and admin. Follow commodity management allocations and change orders for transfers. Communicates well with Commodity Management on inbound quality issues. Understands the computerized process of receiving and transferring of goods in NAV. Must maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information, as well as other Company data, including

personnel information.

Responsible for maintaining the proper flow of inventory in the warehouse. Responsible for ensuring customer's orders are loaded correctly as per load pick tickets. Inventory is to be inspected to ensure the best quality is shipped. Load tallies will be completed with all necessary information required. Load trucks as required. Promptly organize warehouse so that all similar product is grouped together. Unload trucks as required. Ensure inventory accuracy. Report any product quality issues immediately to the supervisor. Properly rotate product according to size, date and quantity. Operate forklift as required.

Education/Background Requirements:



High school diploma or equivalent required. Related work experience in this field.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required



Good communication skills. Operate a forklift or can be trained to meet certification standards operating a forklift. Be respectful and deal tactfully with customers, other employees and vendors. Confidentiality.

Working Conditions:



Work in a refrigerated warehouse. Capable of lifting at least 50lbs. Use of company computer for email access and/or NAV. Physical movement required: lifting, twisting, stacking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stepping up and

down.
