The Role





We are seeking a

Warehouse Laboure

r for our Dilfo Mechanical Limited team. As a Warehouse Labourer you will be working in the warehouse to support various activities to ensure the smooth progress of construction projects. Responsibilities typically include performing physical tasks such as lifting and carrying materials, loading and unloading trucks, tracking/distributing/collecting assets, and assisting with the setup. The Warehouse Labourer also helps with the cleaning and organization of the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. Additionally, the Warehouse Labourer is expected to follow safety guidelines, wear appropriate protective gear, and collaborate with teams to achieve project goals in a timely manner. Adaptability, physical stamina, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for individuals in this role.

Keys Tasks:




Accepting, inspecting, and processing incoming/outgoing shipments Match equipment to construction projects and coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor for delivery to construction sites Operate fork lift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment in a professional and safe manner Dispose of debris and waste materials in designated containers Responsible for keeping the warehouse, shop, and yard clean and organized Observe and abide by all company policies and safety regulations Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Complete deliveries and shipments from time to time Assist Warehouse Supervisor with organizing and maintaining tools and equipment Carry out tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor



Education




A high school diploma or related work experience



Experience




Experience in a warehouse environment is considered an asset Forklift and pallet jack operation experience considered an asset. Valid Forklift and Telehandler certifications required. Valid G-Class driver's license and clean driving record required.



Knowledge and Technical Skills




Experience with inventory and tool tracking systems considered an asset. Familiar with warehouse equipment and delivery processes. Comfortable using basic computer and mobile applications.



Physical and Environment requirements:




Moving equipment/items weighing up to 50 pounds Climbing stairs, walking, carrying, lifting Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment Working indoors and outdoors Standing and walking for long periods of time Bending, crouching, and climbing. You may be required to use ladders or enter small spaces in this position. Work in warehouse conditions with outdoor exposure during deliveries. Operate forklifts and drive delivery vehicles in varying weather conditions.
