Rangeland Warehouse - HACCP Coordinator is accountable for strengthening and maintaining the HACCP program, while maintaining vendor food safety records as per purchasing agreements. Food Safety and Regulatory compliance in all processing avenues would be the focus ensuring vendors and internal departments meet or exceed company's objectives for food safety and regulatory compliance while upholding Rangeland premium quality philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Rangelands HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) program which includes verification of documents ( internal & external), onsite observations either inhouse or during visits to processing facilities, updates for new products or processes and a yearly reassessment to ensure compliance to regulations.
Accountable for preparation and participation in all third-party audits/CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency). Maintain professional interaction with all third-party auditors /CFIA. Assist in follow up corrective actions and preventative measures from audit findings. Recommend and implement approved improvements to production processes, etc. that increase food safety and traceability.
Participate in internal/external quality audits and operational reviews. Provide timely feedback to the Management team and relative departments on quality while recommending corrective actions and preventative measures.
Audit internal facility(s) and processes to ensure managers / employees adhere to HACCP, Quality Assurance programs and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). When there is a deviation, this is reported to operation management to for corrective measures as required.
Maintain and coordinate the warehouse including filling on-line orders, internal inventory control, ordering and maintaining stock levels. Supplying customer HACCP documentation as required.
Accountable to participate in QA projects, collecting data, validating processes for new product launch, etc. with a goal of improved compliance and operational efficiency.
Assist the Management Team in orienting all employees on quality, regulatory and food safety principles and policies and in ensuring they remain current in their knowledge.
Qualifications:
Diploma/ Degree in Food Science preferred, or a related discipline with one to three years of food safety related experience preferred.
HACCP Certification required or willing to obtain
knowledge of CFIA Quality regulatory requirements and systems.
Strong understanding of manufacturing food processes and supply chain process
Strong communication and computer skills i.e Excell, Word, Microsoft 365.
