Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks, to efficiently manage materials handling, shipping, and receiving operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes, safety standards such as OSHA regulations, and experience with warehouse management systems. Prior warehouse supervision or order picker experience is a plus. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse operations while ensuring safety and accuracy in all tasks.

Duties

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping orders accurately Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and materials handling Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning in compliance with OSHA standards Support warehouse management with tasks related to inventory organization, stock replenishment, and space optimization Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily operations and improve workflow efficiency Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly

Skills

Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials handling Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks safely and efficiently Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory control Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts Experience in construction or with heavy equipment operation is advantageous Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Prior warehouse supervisor experience is beneficial but not required
