Fresh Advancements is an importer and wholesaler of fresh produce at the Ontario Food Terminal. Our product line includes conventional and organic produce, including celery, citrus, apples, cherries and assorted berries. Fresh Advancements' customers enjoy access to major growers from across North America.

Job brief


Our company is looking for order pickers, and the successful job holder must be flexible to work 6 days a week with an overtime premium after 40 hours of work each week.

Responsibilities

Picking and packing produce orders according to the task sheets Checking the quality and quantity of products Shipping & Loading in accordance with FIFO procedures Organizing and maintaining coolers Receiving and inventory management Performing duties with electronic Walkie Riders Performing duties with computer software

Job Terms

Job Type: Permanent Full-time Probationary Period: 3-months or 480 hours, whichever longer Work Location: Ontario Food Terminal, 165 The Queens Way, Etobicoke ON, M8Y 1H8 Shift Requirement: 4:00 am - 12:30 pm, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm or 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Work Environment: Unionized Compensation: Starting from $21.50 per hour with a progression to $22.5 per hour governed by the union agreement Benefits: Group Benefits entitlement upon completion of probation time

Qualifications

Must be able to work in a cold environment Related experience in a warehouse setting is an asset Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Must have experience in operating Walkies and be licensed
