Hours: 37.5/week Reporting to: Operations Manager + Depot Manager Raven Recycling is hiring a multi-talented and versatile individual to work as part of both the Warehouse Operations and Bottle Depot teams. This position is intended to spend about half time in the Warehouse and half time in the Depot, but the actual distribution between departments may change depending on operational needs. Expectations:
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work and communicate effectively as a team member to coordinate with all activities and prioritize tasks
- Ability to anticipate needs, problem solve and perform preventative maintenance and minor equipment repairs
- Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures, and participate in workplace safety improvements
- Ability maintain a clean and organized site
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills, with a desire and ability to work with the public.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Opening the warehouse, inspecting and operating necessary equipment, and performing equipment preventative maintenance tasks.
- Accepting, documenting and sorting incoming commodities.
- Operating skid-steers and forklifts to move, load and unload materials safely.
- Baling materials (paper, plastics, etc.) according to market standards.
- Sorting, counting and providing refunds for beverage containers brought in by customers
- Informing members of the public about recycling and other aspects of Raven Recycling\'s work
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and depot for efficient and safe practices.
- Assist with other warehouse, yard and depot duties as required, such as snow removal and litter pick-up.
- Bobcats or other skid-steers
- Forklifts
