The incumbent will be working in a fast-paced warehouse environment Monday to Friday. They will be responsible for driving a delivery van, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of warehouse products to multiple sites in rural areas, while providing courteous, quality-conscious customer service as set out by Canada Packers company guidelines and preparing and packaging orders for CP hog operations.
A snapshot of some of the exciting things you will do:
Delivery Role (70% of time) Provides quality customer service
Drives a delivery van
Performs the daily loading, unloading, and transport of products while meeting on-time delivery requirements in a safe and efficient manner
Adheres to all company Biosecurity and Standard Operating Procedural requirements
Keeps delivery unit clean and well organized, both internally and externally, notwithstanding inclement weather conditions and biosecurity requirements
Plans for vehicle maintenance
Perform and maintains all necessary and related paperwork
Warehouse Role (30% of time) Clerical tasks and data entry as assigned
Physically unloads, receives and inspects all incoming materials
Organize and control bulk product using a forklift
Stocking shelves in warehouse
Picking and packing supply orders
What you will bring:
Proven experience driving on highways and gravel roads
Experience working warehouse environment, including stocking shelves and order filling would be considered an asset
Physically fit and must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Good skills in: Computer, Organizational and Attention to detail
Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a part of a team
Ability to multitask
Forklift and warehouse machinery ticket/training desirable or willing to be trained
Knowledge of hog industry and biosecurity requirements would be considered assets
* A valid Class 5A license and favorable abstract is required
