Rainy River Mine



Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit and underground, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.


The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario. The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.



Applicants who reside in Northwestern Ontario and have experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the Northwest Ontario, are assets. Position Summary

The Warehouse Delivery Driver plays a key role in supporting mine operations by transporting materials, equipment, and supplies between the warehouse and various locations on-site. Operating in a remote and rugged environment, the driver ensures timely, accurate, and safe deliveries while maintaining inventory integrity and adhering to site safety standards.

Key Responsibilities


------------------------


Operate light and medium-duty vehicles (e.g., pickup trucks, flatbeds, cube vans) to deliver goods across the mine site and nearby facilities. Load and unload materials using Telehandler, forklifts, pallet jacks, stair dolly or manually as required. Verify delivery contents against shipping documents and report discrepancies. Maintain accurate delivery logs and inventory records Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. Assist warehouse staff with inventory control, stock rotation, and general housekeeping. Follow all site safety protocols, including PPE requirements and traffic control procedures. Communicate effectively with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams to coordinate deliveries. Support urgent or emergency deliveries as required by operational needs.

Qualifications

Valid Ontario Class G or DZ Driver's License (DZ preferred). Clean driving record and ability to operate vehicles in remote, rugged terrain. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and documentation. Strong understanding of safety procedures and hazard awareness. Ability to work independently and in a team under minimal supervision. Energetic and self motivated Build and foster positive relationships with all departments across our site

Working Conditions

Exposure to varying weather conditions and physically demanding tasks. Must be comfortable working in isolated environments with limited access to urban amenities.

Preferred Assets


--------------------


Experience in mining or heavy industrial logistics. Knowledge of TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) regulations. Familiarity with SAP or other inventory management systems.
