In business since 1960, Kennebec Construction Services (KCS) is an open shop, multi-trade, specialty contractor serving Atlantic Canada. Our three main operating divisions include: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting and Communication Cabling.

We are currently seeking applications for a Warehouse Coordinator interested in joining our team in Saint John, NB.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for tracking warehouse inventory and ensuring products are accurately received and recorded. This position will be responsible for the distribution and tracking of materials and equipment inventory. The Warehouse Coordinator must be well organized and have solid time management skills. The ideal candidate for this position is interested in our business, processes, and understands the importance of service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately record inventory items (verify and scan packing slips, confirm quantities, data input, update spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Manage inventory control of materials and communicate inventory discrepancies with project team and follow up with suppliers / contractors as needed
  • Proper and safe handling of various equipment such as a forklift, telehandler, and overhead crane
  • Ensure Material Request Forms (MRFs) are properly received, assigned a reference number with necessary document control
  • Prepare orders for pick up, document shipment details and update inventory and sign out sheet as required
  • Organize order transportation on occasion, based on client/project requirements
  • Develop and implement ideas for continuous improvement
  • Additional duties assigned
Technical Requirements
  • Minimum of high school education is required
  • Forklift experience
  • Experience/familiarity with warehouse operations would be considered an asset
  • Candidates with previous experience in receiving and distribution of materials in the Construction Industry will be given preference
  • Knowledge and experience with material handling would be considered an asset
Business Requirements
  • Must have good computer literacy including programs such as Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
Cultural Requirements
  • Effective communication skills (both oral and written) with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong customer service skills both internally and externally
