Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team at Pitt Meadows, BC. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring efficient distribution processes, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities - Warehouse Associate
Material Handling:
Accurately pick, handle, and move materials, parts, and products.
Inspect items for discrepancies or damage and verify against paperwork.
Safely operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
Shipping & Receiving:
Manage inbound and outbound shipments efficiently and accurately.
Prepare shipping paperwork, labels, and samples to meet quality standards.
Coordinate with carriers and verify delivered quantities against orders.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels; conduct regular cycle and bulk counts.
Organize storage for easy access and ensure FIFO practices.
Manage inventory receipts, off-site storage, and computer system entries.
Operational Efficiency:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment; schedule maintenance as needed.
Communication & Documentation:
Keep accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements.
Update inventory systems and communicate with departments to resolve shortages or delays.
Skills
Proven experience in warehouse distribution and management.
Proficient in operating heavy equipment including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues.
Familiarity with warehouse management software.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
Experience in shipping & receiving processes, packaging, and order fulfillment.
Background in manufacturing or construction is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:
High School Education
Previous warehouse experience required - 5 years preferred
Previous forklift and reach truck experience required - licenced
Can work independently
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage schedules, routes, and shipments
Detail-oriented to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient route planning
A motivated self-starter who can contribute to an effective operation
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Candidate with handyman skills is preferred
Computer skills required (Excel, Word, SAP training will be provided)
Strong math skills and solid numerical understanding
TDG and WHMIS training
Excellent communication skills, written and oral - English
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
