Job summary
The Warehouse Associate has a key role in ensuring that products are received, verified, stored, and transported to the sales floor or in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves constant handling of merchandise that varies in weight from light to heavy throughout the shift.
Responsibilities
Receive, scan, verify and store all incoming products.
Ship returns, process damaged claims and complete paperwork.
Ensure inventory accuracy.
Dispose garbage and cardboard.
Operate all warehouse equipment safely.
Assist with stocking shelves and organizing inventory to ensure a well-maintained shopping environment.
Collaborate with team members to achieve targets and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
Ensure that retail tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, clean area etc.)
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Experience

Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
Strong computer skills
Ability to find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
Certification in forklift and/or skyjack (scissor lift) (asset)
Strong communication skills are necessary for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
