Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory management, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and mechanical systems to ensure efficient and safe handling of goods. Prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems are highly valued. The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth logistics flow within our facility.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely. Perform order picking, packaging, and assembly to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. Manage shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and maintaining accurate records using systems like AS400 or similar warehouse management systems. Conduct inventory counts, stock replenishment, and organize warehouse storage areas for optimal space utilization. Assist with construction or maintenance tasks related to warehouse infrastructure as needed. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during heavy equipment operation and manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting. Support manufacturing or distribution activities by coordinating with other departments to meet production schedules. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, or manufacturing environments. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, or similar machinery. Ability to operate warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or equivalent software for inventory tracking. Experience with order picker machines, load & unload procedures, packaging, and heavy lifting techniques. Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, construction activities, or industrial settings is preferred. Strong attention to safety protocols when operating heavy equipment or handling materials manually. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing during shift hours.
