Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for ensuring that the warehouse is running safely, efficiently, and with strong attention to detail to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our customers in a timely manner. The warehouse is the nerve center of this business. There are many functions performed in the warehouse, some of which may be specialized (Picker, Replenishment/Forklift, Utility). Partner with our sales and retail teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained. Utilizing the SAP system and PMX, the warehouse associate will also need to have computer skills and the ability to learn these programs. Our leadership team is focused on attracting and retaining the best talent in the region. With our continuous evolution, we are currently looking for a full-time Warehouse Associate working out of our St. John’s, NL warehouse. Please note this is a term position starting immediately until October 2022, with a possibility of extension. We offer a competitive salary, employee discounts, and free on-site parking. What you’ll be doing will include the following (as and when required):
  • Accurately receive inbound shipments, paperwork, and matching purchase orders and ensure the product is binned to the correct location.
  • Picking and preparing orders for shipment and accurately shipping outbound products.
  • Ensuring that all returns are processed and dispersed to their appropriate locations.
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness.
  • Loading trucks and picking customer orders for our retail stores and for deliveries.
  • Dropping skids with reach truck when bins need to be replenished or items are required.
  • Ensuring proper material handling and accurate paperwork.
  • Weighing, tagging, and filling out all paperwork needed to ship goods and track orders.
  • Following all procedures for the handling and transportation of dangerous goods.
  • Ensuring the equipment is in good working condition with regular maintenance and stored in the proper location.
  • Will be shipping by preparing bills of lading and other shipping documents and liaising with couriers and freight transportation providers to ensure pickup and delivery of goods.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education level
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of warehouse experience
  • WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous goods certification would be an asset
  • Fall arrest training and forklift certification would be considered an asset
  • General computer acumen (email, word, excel)
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
  • Punctual and dependable with the willingness to learn and a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and provide proof of full vaccination.
Work hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; located at the St. John’s, NL office. There may be a need to work occasional evenings and weekends.
