SUMMARY
We are seeking a full-time, permanent Warehouse Associate within our BC distribution center.
The Warehouse Associate is responsible to achieve and maintain operational excellence within the warehouse, ensuring that the expectations of customers and internal business partners are met and exceeded.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strive to meet or exceed all Company customer experience goals and objectives as they pertain to the warehouse.
Efficiently and accurately pick customer orders and ensure they are shipped in a timeframe that meets the Company's customer experience standards.
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are received accurately, putaway on a timely basis and free of damage.
Ensure the completeness or correctness of all orders filled.
Share the responsibility in maintaining a clean warehouse and shared work areas.
Support inventory counts and count activities.
Other warehouse duties as assigned.
Job Purpose:
Filling customers' orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity. Send accept and record the movement of products, supplies, materials and stock to and from establishments.
Warehouse Associate Job Duties:
Determine method of shipment and prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents
Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances
Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and damaged goods
Unpack and route goods to the designated warehouse locations
Maintains physical condition of warehouse by assisting with the planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
Know safe storage and handling procedures for various chemicals and materials.
Know proper shipping procedures for transportation of dangerous goods.
Accept and record movement of products, supplies, materials, and stock to and from the establishment
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
Computer Knowledge; TMS, Microsoft Outlook
Knowledge of safe lifting techniques
A proactive learner that has the desire to learn more than the basic aspects of the job
Ability to maintain composure under pressure
Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Warehouse Manager and Team Leader
Can work independently once tasks and requirements of the day are assigned
Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work as a team to accomplish goals
Detail oriented where work is performed carefully to ensure accuracy
Must have a flexible schedule as overtime and evening work will sometimes be required
Must be able to operate forklift and have a forklift certificate

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
