Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations, including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and the ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts. The Warehouse Associate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient inventory management and timely delivery of products within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload shipments using forklifts and other equipment Operate warehouse management systems (such as AS400) to track inventory and process orders Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency Assist with order fulfillment, packaging, and labeling to ensure proper delivery Support shipping & receiving activities by inspecting incoming and outgoing goods Maintain safety standards while operating heavy equipment like forklifts Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning Support warehouse distribution tasks including inventory counts and stock organization Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse workflow and efficiency Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, safety standards, and warehouse procedures

Skills

Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts would be an asset Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) AS400 or similar platforms Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes and order fulfillment procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with warehouse distribution preferred Knowledge of order picking, packaging, load & unload operations, and inventory control Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to safety standards Good organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and order processing Prior experience in warehouse experience or related roles is highly desirable
