Warehouse Associate - Shipper & Receiver

Quadient Canada is currently seeking a highly skilled Shipper/Receiver associate for our Markham, ON location. . As a Shipper Receiver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and logistics processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine method of shipment and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other shipping documents manually or by computer

Assemble containers and crates, record contents manually or by computer, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions

Oversee loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances

Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods

Unpack, code and route goods to appropriate storage areas

Maintain internal, manual, or computerized record-keeping systems

Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.

Ensure all incoming shipments are accurately noted

Maintain warehouse cleanliness, orderly and safely

ensure inventory is properly stored and organized

Advise management of any issues with inventory, carriers, warehouse equipment etc.

Required Skills:

Familiar with warehouse procedures

Familiar with shipping procedures and carrier requirements ie. Purolator,.

Good organizational skills

Physical ability to lift 70lbs

Ability to operate lift truck, reach truck

Familiar with inventory procedures

Computer literate

Good communication skills
