We're looking for an experienced, reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our floral distribution team. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring our flowers are properly stored, handled, and shipped to maintain top quality. A strong knowledge of florals and live plants is critical to this role. If you enjoy physical work, have a good eye for detail, vast knowledge of fresh cut florals & live plants and care about getting fresh products to customers in perfect condition, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Store and handle fresh cut flowers and live plants with care, ensuring correct temperature, humidity, and light conditions based on product type
Lift, carry, and move boxes and buckets of flowers (often wet and heavy)
Follow established SOP's and quality assurance standards specific to perishable floral items
Strategically pack live plants, floral arrangements, bunches, and buckets based on store orders and delivery route to ensure secure, efficient, and damage-free transport Panatracker System for tracking orders & shipments
Assist with shipping logistics and preparation of accurate bills of lading
Work with logistics/fleet teams using your knowledge of local and regional geography
Use proper cold chain handling techniques to minimize damage
Understand different commercial truck classes and use securement tools such as E-Trak for safe transport
Pack live plants, flowers, and arrangements with care to maintain freshness and prevent damage in transit.
What We're Looking For:
2 years experience in a warehouse or logistics role handling floral/perishable inventory
Ability to lift and move heavy, irregularly shaped items
Attention to detail and ability to handle delicate products
Experience using Panatracker System
Dependable team player who thrives in a very fast-paced environment
Knowledge of flower varieties and their unique care requirements
Understanding of ethylene sensitivity and cross-contamination risks
Ability to identify and remove spoiled or damaged stems to prevent rot spread
Skilled in managing temperature, humidity, and lighting for optimal freshness
Understanding of cooler rotation methods (FIFO - First In, First Out)
Ability to manage and organize cooler space efficiently
Awareness of cold chain logistics and minimizing exposure during handling
Understanding of floral-specific logistics, including timing and spoilage risks
Adaptable to changing priorities, work volumes and meeting tight deadlines during peak seasons
PLEASE NOTE: This role rotates daytime and night shifts in a four month rotation with fellow warehouse team mates. Only applicants willing and able to participate in this work rotation will be considered.
