Job Description


We are a growing company, currently seeking dedicated, adaptable individuals to join Grimco. Grimco is a national wholesale sign supply manufacturer and distributor that has been around for over 145 years with 50+ locations in the United States, 8 in Canada, and recent expansion into the United Kingdom.


This role is located at Grimco Burnaby with the scheduled hours of 8:30am \xe2\x80\x93 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Responsibilities:

  • Pick and pack orders of sign supplies in preparation for shipping to customers.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks both by hand and using a forklift.
  • Operate forklift and order picker.
  • Ship and receive orders using appropriate shipping software.
  • Receive and examine incoming material for discrepancies/damages.
  • Stock inventory when replenishment shipments come in.
  • Accurately enter shipping and receiving data into ERP system.
  • Use ERP system to track orders and answer questions for team members and customers.
  • Assist couriers and delivery drivers with manifest information and work in order to maximize delivery efficiency.
  • Perform accurate cycle counts of inventory.
  • Perform duties using a safety-conscious attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (cleaning/sweeping warehouse, maintenance, special projects, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse/shipping/receiving/general labour experience.
  • Completed High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Current Forklift and Order Picker certifications considered an asset. Training can be provided.
  • Advanced/fluent skill levels of French or other languages are always a plus.
  • Strong work ethic.

Physical Demands, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Other Characteristics
  • Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 50+ pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Requires prolonged standing or walking and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.
  • Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.
  • Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).
  • Safety Conscious at all times!
  • Computer literate: Printing Tickets, Shipping Software, MS Office Suite, Internet Navigation, and ERP system experience.
  • Interest in growing with Grimco - potential overtime hours, and supervisory duties in the future, etc.

New to the Sign Industry? What is Training Like?
  • 3 weeks of focused training time followed by ongoing support by team members
  • Majority of time training is focused on: products, logistics, computer systems, customers, safety, accounting, human resources, and reports.
  • Split between break-out session and hands-on learning environment.
