About the Opportunity

Under the general supervision of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the Ward Clerk is an essential member of the patient care area team, the ward clerk is responsible for supporting the function and daily operation of the patient care area. Playing a very important role in the flow of communication and flow of patient care, the ward clerk has strong skills and abilities in multitasking, communication, organization & planning and team work.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 plus graduation from a recognized Medical Office Assistant program or minimum one year related experience required
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Current WHMIS certification required
  • Recent NVCI training / certification considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, required.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to function well as a team member, required.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in computer applications for Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is required.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in current Meditech applications required. Admissions/ OE/EMR, ELR preferred.
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in use of the EFR, Megamation work order system, Meeting Planner, SHARe, Medworx, Bed Board, SAP and in the operation of a MFU.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Long assignment full-time position; 70 hours biweekly

Compensation and Incentives

$20.09 - $21.91 hourly
