About Walks We are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic Walking Tour Guides and Food Tour Guides! As a Guide, you will be responsible for providing informative and engaging tours to visitors. Walks is a leader in the tours and activities industry, founded in Rome, offering unique and memorable travel experiences across the globe. We are an innovative, ambitious, travel-loving team. We operate intimate walking tours that are 2-4 hours in length with groups of 10-20 guests. Responsibilities
Contract length: 3 months Pay: $40.00 per hour Expected hours: 3 \xe2\x80\x93 13 per week Supplemental pay types:
- Lead guided tours, answer all guest questions, provide interesting and accurate information, and ensure all tour requirements are met.
- Engage groups of up to 20 people while displaying public speaking, time management and crowd engagement skills.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while managing time to ensure tours start and end on schedule.
- Adapt tour content and delivery based on the needs and interests of the group.
- This job is outdoors and on your feet. We run our tours rain or shine!
- This is a casual, seasonal position, which runs from July\xe2\x80\x93 September.
- Rate of pay is $40.00 per hour.
- In your first year, you can expect to work 3-13 hours a week.
- You are a character! You have that spunk and engaging voice that people love to listen to.
- Wide knowledge of Old Montreal, Mile End, sites, stories, and other tour attractions in the area.
- Bonus if you are a foodie and love sharing your passion for the Montreal culinary scene.
- Naturally comfortable in front of large crowds.
- Excellent time management and organization skills while managing large, diverse groups of people.
- Proficient in English and has a valid APGT Montreal Guide License.
