National Insurer requires Senior Claims Representative - Casualty / Bodily Injury
This is a WAHVE opportunity offering:

Contract Duration ~ 6 months, potential for extension
Hours per week ~ 40 hours per week
Canadian based 100% Remote Work

As the successful candidate, you will bring:

15 years insurance industry experience

5+ years of progressively challenging claims handling experience in Bodily Injury/Casualty Litigation
Commercial General Liability Claims handling experience, both Bodily Injury and Property damage.

About the Role:
You will report to the National leader for Casualty and Bodily Injury Claims, and be accountable for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Senior Third-Party Bodily Injury and Casualty claims. This includes Automobile, Homeowners, and Commercial Third-Party claims. You will manage a portfolio of Casualty and Bodily Injury claims of increasing complexity and will support the team by assisting and mentoring junior team members.
Scope of Work:

Managing a portfolio of Senior Bodily Injury, Casualty, and General Liability Claims.
Engage all stakeholders in the effective management of a claim including underwriting and senior leadership
Confirming policy coverages, investigating claims to determine liability and quantum. Maintaining detailed file records.
Attending/participating in mediations, pre-trials and settlement initiatives.
Settle claims directly with claimants and with Plaintiff\'s Counsel.
Direct and Instruct Defense Counsel.
Mentoring of junior team members
