The expected start is August 28th, 2023 or will be based upon mutual agreement between the Division and the candidate.

The successful administrative candidate will:

• Be an exceptional leader with a broad world-view, looking to support and appreciate different viewpoints;
• Have an unwavering commitment to the belief that all students are capable learners;
• Have a strong understanding of the components of successful collaboration to support the work of teachers and is able to work side-by-side with teachers, educational assistants, and school leadership to further the learning priorities of the school;
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of innovative pedagogy including inquiry-based learning, comprehensive literacy and numeracy instruction;
• A commitment to inclusive approaches that celebrate diversity, while demonstrating an understanding of First Nations, Metis & Inuit foundational knowledge;
• Have a deep understanding of the nature of learning and how to strategically plan for staff and student growth.

Requirements

• Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate;
• Applicants will possess or be working towards a Masters Degree in Education;
• Successful teaching experience is necessary.

Conditions of Employment

In order to ensure and maintain a safe and secure working and learning environment, applicants new to Lethbridge School Division who are offered employment must provide:

• A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
• A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
• Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
• Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee\xe2\x80\x99s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
