The VP of Audio & Video Investments will be responsible to provide cross media leadership with a focus on streamlining brand agency-Amplifi process and advancing the overall Amplifi product with a forward-thinking view. In addition to providing leadership to Directors and teams cross platform, the VP of Audio & Video Investments will focus on growth areas for clients at the global, local and vendor levels. This role will lead Amplifi from a \'client service\' perspective and be a key point of contact for both clients and agency business leads in determining best course of action to solve internal and client issues. Reporting directly to the VP, Investments, this is a leadership role, shaping the overall corporate direction of Amplifi investment initiatives.

People Leadership, Media Activation and Execution:

  • Work with Investment and client leads to identify business opportunities in support of commercial and investment objectives.
  • Grow the sophistication of your team\'s media knowledge and application, expanding further into data and technology as the landscape continues to evolve.
  • Establish excellent relationships with cross channel media owners whereby valuable partnerships can flourish.
  • Key contributor to the development of any new business project ideas, recommendations, and presentations.
  • Key contributor on AV vendor selection, where it relates to Amplifi\'s commercial investment direction and rationalization to Media Brand teams.
  • Drive a culture amongst Directors and Managers of strong financial health, delivering excellence on expenditure and billing commitments.
  • Responsible for managing and conducting your team\'s goal setting and annual performance appraisals.
  • Ensures team resources are delegated in an agile way to deliver optimal service for Media Brands and internal efficiencies.
  • Develop quality control processes and systems that are sufficiently implemented where lacking.
Client & Internal Relationships:
  • Function well in high-pressure situations, with an ability to stay calm and collected and deliver efficient solutions.
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external teams and sets a good example for their peers.
  • Provide guidance to team members to nurture and promote a healthy team environment.
  • Manage expectations of Investment arm, Media Brands and deliverables remain within scope.
  • Prepared to critically defends/rationalizes media buy, strategy and selection to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular health checks where it concerns your team\'s day-to-day Media Brand stakeholder interaction and the overall activation process to resolve any persisting issues.
  • Lead vendor relationships to find efficiencies and better ways of working with the team as a whole.
  • Work collaboratively with Client leads to build complimentary strategies to support and drive growth of the Dentsu business.
Strategic Thinking & Leadership:
  • Assess problems and concerns in a systematic, logical, and rational manner.
  • Constantly curious and participates in face-to-face vendor meetings.
  • Keep up with the latest trends in AV and cross channel media overall.
  • Aptitude for priority management where it concerns managing multiple deliverables/work streams.
  • Coach Directors/Managers on how to find strategic ways to improve and optimize the media buy and campaign performance to meet client KPIs.
  • Inform VP, Investments of new opportunities or challenges that deviate from corporate investment direction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher
  • 7+ years of media planning/buying experience, including at least 4-5 years focused on AV media.
  • Proven track record of creating, developing, and rationalizing digital media investment recommendations for global and/or local brands.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop and retain top talent while addressing poor performance.
  • High level of confidence with an ability to manage expectations with internal stakeholders.
  • Strong prioritization skills, with an expert ability to manage one\'s time for optimal output.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficient with numbers and budgets to relate results with client business objectives.
  • Mid-level to Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
