Job Description


This is a short term contract. We are currently seeking an experienced, result-driven individual for the role of Vice President of Finance for a real estate company. The VP of Finance will have a pivotal role in the strategic decision making and operations of the company, directly related to the financial planning and budget management functions. This position reports to the CEO and works closely with senior leadership to strengthen financial performance and increase profitability.Responsibilities: * Oversee all financial operations and finance teams in the company, ensuring smooth daily operations.

  • Develop financial and operational strategies, performance metrics, and monitor their alignment with company\'s strategic goals.
  • Analyze the company\'s financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance with budgets.
  • Conduct extensive financial analysis as part of the company\'s strategic growth, forecasting financial outcomes, and assessing risk.
  • Direct and guide monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial planning including operating budgets, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Evaluate and streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors.
  • Report risk issues and internal controls deficiencies to the CEO and the board and provide recommendations for improving the organization\'s operations.
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with strong accounting experience. An MBA, CPA, or related designation is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years\' experience in a senior finance role, specifically in the real estate industry.
  • High proficiency in financial reporting software and MS Office suite.
  • Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes.
  • Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to interact with all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and analytical skills.
