As a
VP- Commercial Relationship Manager
, you'll serve as the primary point of contact for major financial institutions across Canada and will be helping in building and strengthening partnerships, manage the credit and risk profile, and ensure VentaCo is top?of?mind within these banks for funding & collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with key bank partners across Canada.
Lead credit & risk assessment in collaboration with internal teams (underwriting, legal, risk).
Monitor market trends in commercial lending; scout opportunities for new products or partnership models.
Serve as VentaCo's interface / liaison with banks to align on strategy, resolve issues, manage expectations.
Achieve targets for volume, profit / spread, risk metrics and funding deadlines.
Skills & Requirements:
Strong track record in commercial real estate, commercial mortgage financing or banking relationships.
Deep understanding of bank credit processes, financial statements, risk metrics, regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to negotiate with institutional financial institutions.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and strategic mindset.
7+ years in related senior business development / relationship role in finance or banking.
Must have 4+ years of experience in big 5 bank business/commercial experience
