Vice President, Business Development Manager

to help us maintain our market relevance and secure projects that truly align with our identity. This pivotal on-site role in Kamloops, British Columbia, reports directly to the President, with the clear expectation of future succession to a top leadership position.

Role Overview



As the VP, Business Development Manager, your focus will be on ensuring our continued presence in the building envelope sector and obtaining projects that align with our core values. This involves identifying key opportunities, building relationships with essential clients and partners, and developing strategies to secure work that reflects our expertise and reputation. You will also be responsible for leading a team of estimators and collaborating with the senior management team.

Key Activities:

1. Business Development and Client Management



Sales Strategy & Execution:



Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the curtain wall sector.

Client Relationship Management:



Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, general contractors, developers, and other key stakeholders.

Lead Generation & Prospecting:



Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and attending industry events.

Oversee Proposal Development & Presentation:



Work with the estimating team to prepare bids and tenders, presentations, and technical specifications for curtain wall projects. Oversee the sales process from proposal to contract negotiations and handoff.

Negotiation & Closing:



Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to secure profitable projects.

2. Collaboration and Leadership



Work closely with cross-functional teams including: purchasing, finance and administration, project management, design/CAD, and production.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.

Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement strategies and plans that create and maintain a highly effective organization.

Collaborate with the Business Partners and General Manager to develop the annual business development plan.

Apply value-based leadership to create an organization that motivates employees to fulfill the Company's mission.

Job Requirements and Qualifications



Diploma or Degree in Architectural and Building Technology. Engineering and Construction Management preferred

Ten+ years of proven experience driving revenue growth in the building facade industry

Deep understanding of curtain wall systems, materials, manufacturing, installation methods, and industry standards.

Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally when required.

Familiar with Construction Contracts.

Strong technical skills with a variety of software, including MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). The ability to view files in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit is an asset.

Ability to analyze market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

Ability to think strategically and develop long-term business development plans

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Compensation



Annual Salary $150,000 - $200,000
