Volunteer Survivor Advocacy / Community Representative

Job Description
The Digital Sexual Violence Support Centre (DSVSC) is a Canadian and federally-incorporated non-profit that provides educational resources, research, and advocacy support for adult survivors of technology-facilitated sexual violence. The includes adults living in Canada who have faced online sexual harassment, doxxing, intimate image abuse, cyber-stalking, and the creation of sexual deepfake images and videos. The DSVSC is based in Ontario, Canada and operates on a virtual basis.
Role Summary:
Ensures survivor voices and community perspectives are integrated into the organization's leadership and decision-making.Key Responsibilities:
Represent survivor priorities and ensure trauma-informed governance Facilitate connections to grassroots networks or peer-led initiatives Support program co-design or evaluation
Preferred Qualifications:
Lived experience or work in survivor support, harm reduction, peer advocacyRole Summary:
Brings lived experience or grassroots expertise to the board to ensure survivor-centered, equitable governance and programming.Key Responsibilities:
Advise on program direction and survivor engagement strategies Serve as liaison to Survivor Advisory Councils or peer-led programs Promote equitable, anti-oppressive board and organizational practices Ensure programs reflect diverse survivor realities and needs
Qualifications:
Lived experience or direct experience supporting survivors of TFSV Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Peer advocacy, community organizing, or grassroots leadership
Time Commitment:
6-8 hours/monthHonoraria/Accessibility supports encouraged when possible
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00-$15.00 per year
