Volunteer Social Media Coordinator

Job Description
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our dynamic marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies that enhance our brand presence, engage our audience, and drive traffic to our platforms. This role requires a strong understanding of social media trends, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in graphic design tools including but not limited to Canva. This is an unpaid volunteering position. Some in-person attendance to meetings and events in St. Thomas is required.
Duties
Develop and execute engaging social media content across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Monitor social media channels for trends, customer feedback, and engagement opportunities. Collaborate with the marketing team to create cohesive campaigns that align with overall business objectives. Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy. Create visually appealing graphics. Schedule posts and manage social media accounts. Proofread all content to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines. Analyze performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
Previous experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing. Proficiency in softwares and programs for graphic design tasks. Excellent research skills with the ability to analyze data effectively. Strong proofreading skills with attention to detail in written communication. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects.
