At Devonshire, we are dedicated to providing a warm, engaging, and supportive environment for our senior residents. Our on-site retail store offers residents convenient access to everyday items and treats, while also creating an opportunity for meaningful interaction and community building.

Role Summary:

We are seeking friendly and reliable volunteer to assist in the operation of our small retail store. Volunteers play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing customer service, restocking shelves, and creating a welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities:

Greet and assist residents with purchases Operate the cash register (training provided) Restock shelves and maintain cleanliness of the store Help manage inventory and inform staff of low-stock items Engage positively with residents, providing a warm and respectful shopping experience Follow safety, health, and confidentiality protocols

Qualities we are looking for:

Friendly, patient, and respectful demeanor Comfortable interacting with seniors, including those with dementia or limited mobility Dependable and punctual Basic math and communication skills Previous retail or volunteer experience is an asset but not required
