VFF is more than just a film festival -- we're a dynamic hub for filmmakers, industry professionals, and film lovers alike.

Position Overview



We're looking for

passionate, driven, and reliable volunteers

to join our

Cast Team

. As a Cast Team member, you'll play a vital role in creating meaningful and memorable moments at our events throughout the year. This is your chance to get hands-on experience in the arts and event industry, make lasting connections, and help bring world-class film programming to life.

Time Commitment



Volunteers must be available for:

Monthly in-person team meetings at our Vaughan office (twice a month on occasion) All major festival events and select year-round programming Occasional additional commitments based on event needs
This is a

1-year volunteer role

with the possibility of renewal.

What You'll Do



Participate in

mandatory monthly in-person meetings

at our Vaughan office Support

festival events and activities

in various roles based on event needs Engage with team communications via

WhatsApp

and

email

-- staying informed and responsive Help amplify our reach by

interacting with VFF on social media

(liking, commenting, sharing)

Guest check-in and registration Audience engagement and crowd coordination Box office support Red carpet and media wall assistance Talent support and hospitality Event setup and teardown

What We're Looking For



18+ years old

Ontario high school graduate

(or equivalent)

Passionate about film and the creative arts Previous experience with film festivals or events is a plus -- but not required
Job Type: Fixed term contract
