Vaughan International Film Festival (VFF)
is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to championing the future of short film. Since 2012, we've grown into a global platform for emerging and established filmmakers, offering an exciting space to showcase their work, connect with the film community, and celebrate storytelling through cinema.
VFF is more than just a film festival -- we're a dynamic hub for filmmakers, industry professionals, and film lovers alike.
Position Overview
We're looking for
passionate, driven, and reliable volunteers
to join our
Cast Team
. As a Cast Team member, you'll play a vital role in creating meaningful and memorable moments at our events throughout the year. This is your chance to get hands-on experience in the arts and event industry, make lasting connections, and help bring world-class film programming to life.
Time Commitment
Volunteers must be available for:
Monthly in-person team meetings at our Vaughan office (twice a month on occasion)
All major festival events and select year-round programming
Occasional additional commitments based on event needs
This is a
1-year volunteer role
with the possibility of renewal.
What You'll Do
Participate in

Guest check-in and registration
Audience engagement and crowd coordination
Box office support

What We're Looking For
18+ years old
Ontario high school graduate
(or equivalent)
Vulnerable Sector Check
(required; at volunteer's expense)
Active

Detail-oriented
and able to follow through on assigned tasks

high-energy, event-driven setting
Passionate about film and the creative arts
Previous experience with film festivals or events is a plus -- but not required
Job Type: Fixed term contract
